RADIO SHACK TRS-80 64K COLOR COMPUTER 2 AND ORIGINAL MANUALS PLUS BASIC PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE BOOKS. This lot (photograph #1) includes : 1 The Computer = Radio Shack TRS-80 64K Color Computer 2. This appears to be an earlier, 1983 version. Now over 35 years old! Made in the U. Unit measures 14.5″ across (side-to-side) by 10.25″ front to back by 3.5 tall at the highest point at the back. The built-in keyboard (photograph #2) and ID nameplate (photos #2 and #3) can be seen from the top view. Back of computer (pictures #4 & #5): The power cord is over 7′ long (120V, 60Hz, 0.2A) with a two prong polarized plug. Panel on back has a “RESET” button, a ” TO TV ” port, a “CHANNEL SEL”(ECT) switch (between 3 and 4), a ” CASS”(ETTE) port , a ” SERIAL I/O ” port , a ” JOYSTK ” “RIGHT” & “LEFT” ports, and a “POWER” port. Side of computer (photograph #6): There is a large cartridge slot on the right side of the computer which opens to accept preprogrammed ROM cartridges (such as chess, learning a foreign language, or business finances). It is strongly stated that the computer be turned off when putting in or removing cartridges. I currently don’t have any of these cartridges. Worth, TX 76102, MODEL NO. 0036626 , TRS-80 64K COLOR COMPUTER 2, VOLTAGE. 0.2 A More of the computer’s specifications can be seen in an excerpt from the manual (see the last photo, #12) Computer was stored in a protective container for many years. It has stayed clean with only a little light dust. There is minor surface wear, light scratches, and some discoloration from age. The former owner stated that it has worked well in the past for many enjoyable hours and should continue to do so. Computer is working , but wasn’t tested completely in recent years. 2 Connecting Cable(s) (photograph #9): Over 3 feet long in total. Has a metal “male” plug which attaches to the computer’s “TO TV” port on the back. The other end of this cable plugs into a “COMPUTER / TV” switch. This switch has quite a bit of wear and oxidation from age but still works alright. The two terminals coming out of the switch (for the antenna screws on older televisions) have been connected to a cable TV connector. This connection between computer and television/monitor could easily be replaced if desired, but it worked fine for me when using an older TV set. Original computer manuals and programming books (photographs #10 – #12). These soft covers were much used and well enjoyed, having wear, creasing, surface marks, and some occasional handwritten notes. They are all complete , highly useful , and getting hard to find.
