These are pieces of Blenko history! Blenko color samples that I bought from the Antique section at Blenko 4 years ago. They are over 35 years old and most bear an old style label. The Blenko worker told me that these pieces had sat in their boxes since before her started and he had been there over 35 years. These are dalle de vere color samples. The colors on the labels correspond to an index card in the mixing room that gives the “recipe” for that particular color. Most of these shades haven’t been produced for decades. These are roughly the size of 4 of the later samples which were cut into squares. They are about 8 inches long and weigh a little over one pound each. This set has 17 different shades and color numbers. Many shades of blues, various hues. Sun would not cooperate today, so brighter in sun light. 15 have the very old style Blenko label. One has a tag with the shade only and one has no tag. Please note- these do have chips and rough spots. I have pictured the worst ones- chips on the back, especially on 2. Most have only minor chips from where they were cut for the samples. All are rather rough along the edges. These are not finished glass pieces but rather intended as samples for color choices.
